PolySilk - 53gsm.

Suitable indoor and outdoor. Opaque fabric. Very popular choice - superb for printing detailed images (Double gold award winning fabric choice – Pride in Print 2007 & 2008). Provides over 90% strike through to the reverse side. Ideal for custom flags and corporate flags which fly during business hours. Used on TearDrop flags, and many custom indoor displays. Shows high digital definition due to fine weave. (Unfinished maximum print width is 1500mm   – please allow for selvage and hemming).

Premium grade Polyknit (Sublimated) - 125gsm.

Our traditional flag fabric. Provides 75% strike through to the reverse side. Suitable for flags which are exposed to winds 24 hours a day. (Unfinished maximum print width is 1500mm – please allow for selvage and hemming). S = sublimation. Not the same strike through as TA700T, but equally as resilient. For extra longevity consider a raw cut, rather than a hemmed edge.

Premium grade Polyknit (TexPress or Screen printed option)- 125gsm.

Direct digitally printed best strength available for flag fabric,. Used on WindBlade flags. Almost 100% strike through to reverse side. As this is a flag fabric, the print detail is not quite as fine as the dye-sublimation process, but a fantastic result for street flags and corporate flags. For extra longevity consider a raw cut, rather than a hemmed edge.

The ideal option for street flags, or flags which are intended to be up for 24 hours. (Unfinished maximum print width 1800mm – please allow for selvage and hemming).

Open Weave Fabric (Sublimated) – 150gsm

Designed for optimum air permeability, to relieve pressure on stress points.  Utilised for outdoor banners and flag products. Around 75% strike through from sublimation print process. Perforated weave allows some wind to pass through but enough textile to capture digital image with clear definition. Print width 1500mm.

Open Weave Fabric (TexPress or Screen printed option) – 150gsm

Designed for optimum air permeability, to relieve pressure on stress points.  Utilised for outdoor banners and flag products. Around 90% (Texpress) and 100% (screen print) strike through from direct to fabric print process. Perforated weave allows some wind to pass through but enough textile to capture digital image with clear definition. Print width 1800mm.

Block-out - 250gsm block out fabric

Printable on one-side or both sides used where correct reading text is required to be read from both sides. Suitable for WindBlades and TearDrop flags. (Unfinished maximum print width is 1490mm – please allow for selvage and hemming).

*Fire rating certificate available.

Please make your clients aware of the limitations of Block out fabric:

  • There can be a slight colour variation from one side to the other due to the print process.
  • Note also that the fabric is not pure white.
  • Repeat jobs may alter slightly in colour due to different fabric batches, weather conditions and humidity.
  • Note that the Block outfabric is not 100% block out – on white backgrounds, the text on the reverse side, when held up against light, may show through ever so slightly. Please allow for an A4 proof to check this.

TADS (Double Sided Fabric) Recommendations:

  • Full graphics and shades instead of block colours over large areas, where possible.
  • No solid black and whites only – the black may be recognisable on the reverse side.
  • Ideal for promotion and event purposes. See Flag Suitability for both Cosmics and WindBlade when considering this option.

Poly Twill – 188gsm.

A water resistant coating makes this ideal for table cloths and outdoor applications – including the marquees, with a matt type of finish. (Unfinished maximum print width is 1470mm – please allow for selvage and hemming).

*Fire rating certificate available.
